When Silence Wounds

ree

Sometimes it’s not what was said that wounded us—but what was never said. The words of affirmation we longed for, the encouragement that never came, the love that was withheld.

This kind of silence cuts deep, creating wounds of neglect and invisibility. It whispers, “You don’t matter. You’re not enough.” But God’s voice breaks the silence. He speaks identity, purpose, and unconditional love. Where others were silent, He declares truth: “You are mine. You are chosen. You are loved.”

“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.” — Isaiah 43:1

Reflection: What truth from God’s Word do you need to hear over the silence?
