Soul Care Check-In: What’s Your Status?

ree

If your soul had a status update right now—what would it say? 💬 Peaceful? Tired? Resting? Restless? We check our phones for updates all day long—but how often do we pause to check in with our own hearts? Your soul speaks, it actually whispers. It tells you when it’s weary, when it’s longing, and when it’s quietly content. The question is—are you listening?

Maybe your soul would post something like, “Running on empty,” or “Trying to keep it together.” Or maybe it’s whispering, “Finally breathing again.” Whatever your status, it’s okay. God already knows where you are, and He meets you there—not once you’re perfect, but right now, in the middle of it all.

Scripture says, “He restores my soul” (Psalm 23:3). That word restore means to bring back what’s been lost or worn down. Sometimes restoration starts with simple awareness—pausing long enough to admit, “Lord, I’m tired,” or “Lord, I’m grateful.” The moment you acknowledge where you are, you open the door for Him to refresh you.

So today, take a deep breath. Let the noise settle. Ask yourself:

“What does my soul need right now?”Maybe it’s rest. Maybe it’s laughter. Maybe it’s worship. Whatever it is, honor it. Don’t rush past your soul trying to serve everyone else. You can’t pour from an empty cup—but when your soul is filled, your life overflows.

Say this prayer for strength: “Father, thank You for caring about the condition of my soul. Help me pause long enough to hear what You’re saying and feel what I’ve been ignoring. Restore me where I’ve been weary. Fill me with Your peace, and teach me to rest in Your presence. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
