38 Years and Still Saying “Yes”

Today my husband and I celebrate 38 years of marriage—and no, it hasn’t all been perfect, but it has been purposeful. Marriage isn’t about finding a flawless person. It’s about choosing commitment over comfort, growth over ego, forgiveness over scorekeeping, and love over everything else—day after day, year after year.
We’ve weathered:
Seasons of great joy.
Storms that tested our faith.
Sacrifices that required unity.
Battles we had to win on our knees.
And blessings we never saw coming.

Marriage is not maintained by feelings—it’s built by faith, intentionality, and the courage to keep choosing each other.
To my husband—my steady rock, safe place, friend, and forever love—thank you for walking this journey with me. God’s grace has carried us, and His goodness still writes our story.
Here’s to covenant. Here’s to purpose. Here’s to legacy.
Happy 38th Anniversary to us!
